Thanks to a grant from Pensacola Bay Area IMPACT 100, we now offer on-site shredding services with our Mobile Shredding truck!
When you shred with us, you turn your paper into expanded possibility for those with intellectual and developmental disabilities. The Arc Gateway’s secure document shredding program, ShredWorks, employs approximately 40 individuals with disabilities, offering meaningful work experience, income and greater independence.
Individuals, businesses and other organizations have been utilizing our shredding services since 2008, when an IMPACT 100 grant funded the new program, aimed at creating a steady revenue stream to help fund The Arc Gateway’s work as a non-profit organization, while also providing employment opportunities for the agency’s clients. Each year, we shred more than 100 tons of paper in our facility, and now, with the addition of our mobile shredding truck, we can expand our services to offer on-site confidential shredding for commercial accounts and community events throughout the Pensacola area.
Recently, Better Homes and Gardens Main Street Real Estate hosted a free shredding day at their office for their realtors, clients and contacts. Dozens of people visited the drive-through shredding site, bringing countless boxes of old financial statements, healthcare records and other confidential documents that needed to be destroyed.
Our shredding customers can rest assured their information is safeguarded, as The Arc Gateway’s ShredWorks truck, facility and staffers have undergone rigorous training and auditing by the industry’s standards setting body, NAID. This voluntary process and the resulting certification ensures our program complies with all data protection laws and meets the highest levels of secure document destruction requirements. We serve a wide range of customers including financial institutions, law firms, educational institutions, governmental entities, healthcare facilities and more.
